ONMT seeks to position Morocco among the world’s top 10 destinations through its 2023-2026 action plan called “Light in Action.”
ONMT (The Moroccan National Tourist Office) and the airline airBaltic have signed an agreement to connect the Latvian capital Riga to Agadir in Morocco.
Through this partnership, the Latvian low-cost airline will launch the Riga-Agadir line from the next winter season, with a weekly flight every Saturday. The direct connection between the capital of Latvia and the seaside Moroccan resort will come into effect on November 4.
Agadir has become AirBaltic’s second destination in Morocco, after Marrakech. Flights connecting Marrakech and Riga are scheduled on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The ONMT continues to activate the air levervia the Baltic countries basin and at the same time gives a real boost to the Agadir destination to secure maximum capacity for next winter.
Such activities are in line with the ONMT’s 2026 “Light in action” action plan, which seeks to position Morocco among the top 10 travel destinations in the world.
