It was in the summer of 2017, before I could open the Agogo Travel agency with my partner, that an advertising company working for KTM (in Italy) contacted my friend here (Moha) to ask for our assistance in scouting places ideal for shooting their advertising film for their new KTM 1090 and 1290 ADVENTURE R motorcycles. I remembered like it was yesterday, Moha was calling me back because I was busy that summer. And given the importance of the request, I had to work at night and was able early in the morning to send them about twenty places with maps, distances, gps points and illustrations or even videos such as the case of the Ourika road where Tom Cruise had filmed one of the most gripping motorcycle chases for his film Mission Impossible 5 (Rogue Nation). among the shooting locations offered there were tracks at the foot of the High Atlas mountains, those in the Draa Valley going towards Zagora, others through the dunes of Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi and Chegaga or the giant lake Iriki.. already marked by the Paris-Dakar Rally or the Aicha des Gazelles Rally… because KTM had insisted on the presence of 3 elements at the same time, namely sand, stones and water! finally it is the region of Tafraout 150km from Agadir which was elected the shooting location for the KTM project. after some exchanges by e-mail, their agents decided to send their team and material to do this loop: Agadir > Tiznit > Tafraout > Igmir > Guelmim > Boujerif > Legzira > Tiznit > Agadir . The missing carts we took from our friend and champion Harite Gabari. a week later, everything was in the box. And only 1 month later, we were surprised to see the excellent work done by the film specialists and in reality it was an advertisement to see and see again! and which I am pleased to share with you below : “KTM had chosen Anti-Atlas to film ad in 2017”
