Weeze Airport has welcomed the arrival of Air Arabia Maroc, which has launched a weekly service from Fez. The route, operated with the A320-200, will increase in frequency to twice-weekly during the summer season. Weeze Airport celebrated the route launch with a traditional Fire Truck Water Arch.

Air Arabia Maroc recently announced a set of new routes for the 2023 summer season, expanding its network towards European destinations. Two new routes will be operated between Montpellier airport in France and the Morrocan cities of Tangier and Oujda. In addition to Montpellier, Air Arabia Maroc will open two routes between Oujda, and the French cities of Lyon and Lille. A new air route linking Fez to Weeze Airport in Germany’s lower Rhine region will also be launched.

Air Arabia Maroc was established in 2009 as a joint venture between Air Arabia and local investors. The air carrier built on the appeal of Morocco as a tourist destination for European travelers and soon established itself as the leader of low-cost air transport in the country.

Based in Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) in Casablanca, Morocco, the airline operates Airbus nine A320-200s. Air Arabia Maroc flies to various destinations in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, including Spain, Italy, France, and Turkey.
