New Four Seasons Bab Al Bahr Hotel in Rabat later 2023
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Atlantic Coast Hospitality, a subsidiary of real estate development company Q Holding, announced the opening of a luxury hotel in the Moroccan capital. The property will be housed in a renovated 19th century palace overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This will be the fourth Four Seasons property in the country.
The Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr is expected to welcome its first guests this year. The hotel will have 204 rooms and suites, 7 restaurants and lounges, a spa with treatment rooms and an indoor pool, several resort-style outdoor pools, and ample conference and event space.
The palace is known as the “Castle of the Sea” (Kasr Al Bahr) and was originally built as a royal summer palace. It then served as a military hospital before closing in 1999. The building and its 5-hectare site have been extensively renovated.
The hotel’s renovation was led by Moroccan architect Karim Chakor of META Atelier d’Architecture. Roger Nazarian and Associates managed the interior design and landscaping of the facility.
Gregory Viaud has been appointed general manager of the hotel. He has been with Four Seasons for 19 years and, together with his team, has already started working to prepare the hotel for the arrival of its first guests.

Conrad Hotels & Resorts inaugurates a first unit in Rabat
“With more than 270 beds, 120 rooms and several service and entertainment infrastructures, this new hotel establishment will strengthen the bedding capacity of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region and enrich its tourist offer, through the promotion of the coastline of Harhoura, one of the most beautiful seaside resorts in Rabat,” the group said in a press release.
The Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, inaugurated the new Conrad Rabat Arzana hotel unit, the first entry of the Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand in Morocco.
On the occasion of this inauguration, the Minister returned to the importance of this investment for the tourist attractiveness of the municipality of Harhoura and the entire region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra. “This investment is further proof of the confidence of international investors in our destination,” she said. “The “Conrad Hotels & Resorts” brand of the “Hilton Hotels Corporation” group has rightly bet on the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, which offers cross-functional potential in several categories of tourist products, in particular culture and City Break. The commune of Harhoura is a real seaside asset for the region. The Conrad Rabat Arzana hotel will undoubtedly contribute to improving the attractiveness of the commune for national and international tourists”, underlines the manager.
Located north of Harhoura, 15 minutes from the corniche and 35 minutes from Rabat-Salé airport, the Resort’s privileged location near the cultural center of the city, offers easy access to historical tourist attractions such as, the Med V Mausoleum, the Old Medina, the Oudayas Gardens and the Rabat Zoo.
Fairmont Tazi Palace Opens in Tangier, Morocco

Nobu Hotel Marrakech to Open on January 2023
The luxury hospitality brand Nobu Hotel plans to open its doors to the public on January 23 in Marrakech, Morocco’s red city. The Nobu brand is led by world-famous actor Robert De Niro, film producer Meir Teper, and renowned sushi chef Nobu Matsuhisa.
Marking the brand’s first venture in Africa, the all-suite property will have 71 suites, destination dining, including Nobu Restaurant and Bar, and a panoramic rooftop with a pool, restaurant and sushi bar. The hotel is also set to house one of the largest spas in the brand’s portfolio. A member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Nobu Marrakech is located in the center of Marrakech’s “Golden Triangle” in the Hivernage district. Nearby attractions include exotic souks and Djemaa el-Fna. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by an open and contemporary space adorned with local artwork, intricate detailing and handmade fixtures. The 71 suites will be split across three floors. Categories will include 44 Junior Suites, six Deluxe Junior Suites, 18 Deluxe One Bedroom Suites, two Miyabi Suites and one Nobu Suite, each with views of North Africa’s Atlas Mountain range or Koutoubia Mosque.
